Love the dolphins. So, I couldn’t miss the chance to visit Dolphinarium from Constanta Romania this year.
The Dolphinarium in Constanţa began its activity on June 1, 1972, being the first Romanian museum of this kind in our country and the first one in the South Eastern Europe at that time. The exhibition presents the world of the shellfish living in diverse seas. The shows are organized in the Amphitheatre with a pool, with dolphins from the Phocaena relicta species and Delphinus delphis ponticus species, with seals from the South Atlantic.
They have 3 dolphins in the show, two male and one female, each of them having different personalities: Pei-Pei, Ni-Ni and Chen-Chen. The names definitely are not Romanian J. The dolphins are really playful and the show is good, but it seems to be a bit short. I think it’s less than half an hour, probably around 20 minutes.
